IRVING, Texas – Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today that all Conference USA schools will observe a moment of silence prior to all home athletic contests this weekend.

“We are all deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Myles Brand,” Banowsky said. “He was a remarkable man and a wonderful leader for intercollegiate athletics. His leadership and accomplishments will certainly benefit higher education for decades to come. We hope our student-athletes, coaches and fans will take this time to reflect on what makes the college athletics experience special for them.”

Besides home football games at Marshall, Memphis, Southern Miss and UCF, there are also 10 women’s soccer, eight men’s soccer and 11 volleyball home matches scheduled this weekend.
