Catrina Gibson is in her first year as Assistant Commissioner for Business Affairs for Conference USA. Gibson joined the conference staff in April after serving as Director of Business Operations for the University of Kentucky athletics department.

At UK, she managed day-to-day operations for athletics business affairs. She also assisted in managing a $54 million dollar budget, monitored revenue collections, and served as the liaison for university and outside auditors.

Gibson gained the majority of her collegiate athletic experience at The University of Tulsa. There she served in various roles for over 14 years. Her last stint at TU was as Assistant Athletics Director for Business Affairs and Operations. Gibson was responsible for event management, coordinating game operations and all budget issues for Tulsa.

Upon her graduation in May 1994, she worked for American Airlines in its accounting department for two years. She returned to TU in 1996 where she gained experience as assistant athletics ticket manager, academic advisor, and travel coordinator for men's basketball.

In July 1998, Gibson accepted a position with Oklahoma State University as Senior Accountant in the athletic ticket office.

A native of Syracuse, Kan., she returned to Tulsa in March 1999 as Director of Business Affairs for the athletic department. Gibson also served as interim director for operations, overseeing all event management activities, for two years.

Gibson earned her bachelor's degree from TU in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. She received a master's degree in business administration from Oklahoma State in December, 2000.
