Tod Meisner, a native of Raymond, Ill., is in his second year as Assistant Director of Media Relations with Conference USA. Meisner joined the league from the Missouri Valley Conference in July of 2006 where he spent six months as the Valley's Assistant Director of Communications. While in St. Louis, he served as the primary contact for volleyball and softball as well as many of the league's olympic sports.

With Conference USA, Meisner is the secondary football contact as well as the primary contact for softball. He also is the primary contact for men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, and women's swimming and diving.

Meisner assisted with media relations duties at the 2007 NCAA Women's Basketball Dallas Regional and also assisted at the 2007 NCAA Men's Basketball First and Second Rounds in New Orleans.

Along with his media relations duties, Meisner provides assistance in managing the league's internet web site and on-line statistical reporting system. Additionally, he helps with preparation and administration at a number of league championships.

Before working at the conference level, Meisner spent a year in a half at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. In the fall of 2005 he was the primary media relations contact for volleyball. During his tenure at SMU, he also served as the primary contact for the Mustang swimming and diving and tennis programs. In addition, he was the secondary contact for the SMU football program and assisted with media relations efforts for the Doak Walker Award and the SMU Athletic Forum.

He served as media director for various events while at SMU including the SMU Women's Swimming Classic and the Dallas Morning News College Swim Classic. Meisner also served as a Public Relations Intern for the Dallas Cowboys during his first stint in the Metroplex.

Prior to SMU, Meisner attended Illinois State University, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications. While at ISU, Meisner served as a student assistant for a year in the Illinois State media relations office where he was the sports information contact for women's golf.

A member of CoSIDA, USBWA and the FWAA, Meisner and his wife Lauren were married on July 7, 2007 and reside in Dallas.
