UAB Men's Golf Alone in Seventh
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- After the first round of the Conrad Rehling Alabama
Invitational in Tuscaloosa, the Blazers stand alone in seventh place.
The Blazers shot 304 on the 7,041 yard, par 72 Ol' Colony Golf Complex.
College of Charleston leads the field with 293, followed by Alabama and
Vanderbilt at 294. Scores were high because of tough golf course
conditions. The average score for the field was 77.53.
UAB's Graeme McDowell is tied for fourth after shooting an even par 72.
He trails leader, John Pitt of Vanderbilt by three strokes.
Also for the Blazers, Daniel Ozley is tied for 16th, after firing a two
over-par 74, Payton Osborn and Connor Doran are tied for 47th after
shooting 79 and Craig Gordon is tied for 62nd with an 82.
