The TCU men's golf team finished in ninth place at the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Ariz., after shooting a five-over 293 in the final round at the Tucson National Golf Course (Par 72; 7,094 yards). The Horned Frogs, ranked ninth nationally, totaled an 873 (+9) for the 54-hole event to finish 17 strokes behind tournament champion Arizona State (856).

Senior Adam Meyer was the top finisher for the Horned Frogs, placing 15th in the 60-player field. He recorded a one-over 73 in Tuesday's final round to complete the three-day event with an even-par 216. Meyer's top-20 finish was his seventh of the season and his sixth in the last seven tournaments.

Colby Beckstrom, a sophomore from North Muskegon, Mich., also nailed down a top-20 finish, winding up with a share of 18th place. He had a final-round 74 (+2) to finish the tourney with a two-over 218. It was the sixth time in the 2003-04 campaign that Beckstrom has landed in the top 20 and the 10th time in his two-year career. One stroke behind Beckstrom was junior teammate J.J. Killeen (219). Killeen also carded a two-over 74 on Tuesday, and thus earned a tie for 26th place.

Junior David Schultz secured the Frogs' best round of the final day, an even-par 72. Schultz finished in a tie for 44th place despite opening the event with an 80 in round one. Senior Stephen Polanski (T-47th) rounded out the TCU crew. Polanski had a three-day sum of 226 (+10) after a 78 on day three.

Of the 11 teams at the National Invitational Tournament, nine were ranked among the top 25 in the most recent GCAA/Precept Coaches' Poll.
