A trio of student-athletes have been named as Conference USA Golfers of the Month for March. Sharing the March women's award are East Carolina's Jessica Krasny and TCU's D'Rea Ward, who each won two indidivual titles last month. The men's honoree was Joe Weber of Marquette, who helped the Golden Eagles to their first team title since 2000.

    Women -
    Jessica Krasny, East Carolina
    Junior, Summerville, S.C.
East Carolina’s JESSICA KRASNY is Conference USA’s March Co-Golfer of the Month. Krasny helped the Pirate women’s golf team to four top-five finishes in the month of March, including back-to-back team titles, and she garnered a pair of individual medallist honors, as well. At the Edwin Watts’/Carolina Classic, she fired a three-round 223 to capture first place and helped ECU win with a three-round team total of 920. The following week, Krasny tied for second with a two-round 144 at the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate to lead the Pirates to their second consecutive team crown. Krasny concluded the month by finishing 14th at the Waterlefe/USF Invitational and winning the UNC-Wilmington Lady Seahawk Invitational with three-round total of 210. As a squad, ECU finished tied for fifth and third in those respective events. For the month, Krasny averaged 74.9 strokes per round.

    D’Rea Ward, TCU
    Sophomore, Weatherford, Texas
TCU’s D’REA WARD is Conference USA’s March Co-Golfer of the Month. Ward became the first Horned Frog golfer since 1983 to win two straight individual crowns. At the Waterlefe/USF Invitational, she carded a three-round 217 to secure the one-over par individual win and helped TCU to the team victory, which fired a tournament best 898. Ward followed that performance by capturing top honors at the Baylor-Tapatio Springs Shootout with a 221 total, including her career first sub-70 round of 68 in the opening round. As a squad, TCU finished fourth with a three-day total of 308. To open the month, the Horned Frogs posted a tie for seventh at the Texas A&M Invitational. For the month, Ward registered a 74.88 per round stroke average.

    Men -
    Joe Weber, Marquette
    Freshman, Bryant, Wis.
Marquette’s JOE WEBER is Conference USA’s March Golfer of the Month. After seeing limited tournament action in the fall, Weber has emerged in the spring as one of the Golden Eagles top performers. At Marquette’s opening tournament of the month, the Kauai Collegiate Cup, he fired a fifth-place 218 to help the Golden Eagles to their team crown since the 2000 campaign. At the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate, Weber’s top-20 finish helped Marquette to a 10th-place showing.
