Gushanas Leads UAB Women's Golf at LSU/Cleveland Classic
BATON ROUGE, La. -- Christina Gushanas shot a final round 77 as the UAB
women's golf team finished the LSU/Cleveland Classic in tenth place.
The sophomore finished with a 228 total, taking sole possession of 26th
place after firing rounds of 76 and 75 in the first two rounds at the
par-72, 6, 265-yard University Club Golf Course in Baton Rouge.
LSU took the team title with 864, while Reilley Rankin of Georgia
captured the individual title with a 5-under par 211.
For the Blazers, Heather Lourie (77-81-76/234) fired a final round 76 to
finish tied for 37th place while teammate Emily Hendricks (80-80-77/237)
finished tied for 42nd place. Petra Hallberg (82-89-87/258) finished
tied for 59th place and Katie Kane (93-83-85/261) finished in 62nd
place.
The Blazers will finish off their season as they host the Conference USA
Tournament at Inverness Country Club in Birmingham on April 20-22. |
