ECU Women Finish Second at Cougar Invitational
CHARLESTON, S.C. - The East Carolina women`s golf team notched their third top-five finish of the season as they finished second at the Cougar Spring Invitational hosted by the College of Charleston. The tournament was hosted at the par 72, 5,907 yard Partiots Point Golf Course.
The Pirates (615) overcame a day one five-point deficit, but could not close the door on the Cougars (614) as they edged out a one-point victory today.
Sophomore Jessica Krasny finished tied for third as she fired a 152.
Freshman Adrienne Millican (154) and sophomore Margaret Mitchell (155) rounded out the top ten finishes for the Lady Pirates as they were tied for fifth and seventh, respectively. Mitchell held low-round honors on the day as she fired a 73, nine strokes better than yesterday.
The Lady Pirates will complete their finish at the Conference USA Championships held in Hattiesburg, Miss., on April 19-20.
