NCAA Women's Golf East Regional Suspended Due to Weather

First round action of the 2005 NCAA Women’s East Regional Golf Tournament has been postponed until Friday, May 6 due to heavy rains in Gainesville, Fla. The first round will now be played with a shotgun start and is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. ET at the par-70, 6,023-yard University of Florida Golf Course. Second round play will begin immediately follow the conclusion of the first round.

C-USA Women's Golf Champion Tulane University is the No. 6 seed in the East. The Green Wave will be joined by No. 15 seed East Carolina, which is making its second appearance in the last three years.

In addition to the 16 teams participating in the East, the three individuals selected for this Regional are from Conference USA. Louisville sent the pair of senior Meghan Little and sophomore Adrienne White. UAB senior Brooke Mangan will also compete as an individual and becomes the first Blazer to qualify for Regional play.
