Houston’s Callas Fires A Second-Round 81 at the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship

Stillwater, Okla. – After firing an opening-round 79, Houston’s Brett Callas posted an 81 on the second day of the 2003 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship at the Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Callas began his second round on No. 10 and was even for the first four holes, before carding a bogey on the par-5 14th. After making par on 15 and 16, he registered a triple bogey on the par-4 17th. Callas would close out the backside with a birdie on par-5 18th.

On the front nine, Callas’ troubles continued with bogeys at the par-4 fourth and fifth holes, followed by double bogeys on the par-4 No. 6 and the par-5 No. 9. His two-day total is a 16-over par 160.

The third round of the championship gets underway at 7 a.m. (CST) on Thursday.
