Three USF Golfers Earn All-Scholar Recognition

TAMPA - Jill Crowe, Kelly Martin and Katie Ruhe have given the University of South Florida a recognition that only Stanford and Purdue can claim. The trio earned All-Scholar Team honors from the National Collegiate Golf Coaches Association and only Stanford and Purdue were able to match that with three members of their respective teams earning distinction.

"That's pretty good company," says USF head coach Susan Holt. "It's pretty rare for three players on one team to earn this honor, and it speaks highly of Jill, Kelly and Katie's commitment to academics and their golf game."

To earn the All-Scholar honor, golfers must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, while playing a key role on the golf team. Crowe, Martin and Ruhe comprised three-fifths of USF's lineup in the 2002 NCAA Championships.
