Two C-USA Women's Golf Teams Finish 2000 Season Nationally Ranked
PRINCETON, N.J. - South Florida and Tulane are among the women's golf teams ranked in the final women's golf listing of the 2000 Mastercard Collegiate Golf Rankings. The poll is administered by the College Golf Foundation in cooperation with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and National Golf Coaches Association (NCGA), and voted on a panel of men's and women's collegiate golf coaches.
South Florida captured their third consecutive Conference USA championship on the way to a being ranked No. 32 in the nation. The Bulls advanced to the NCAA Championship, earning a spot in the East Regional.
Tulane finished ranked No. 41 in the nation after making its fourth straight NCAA appearance. The Green Wave were led by Pam Buff, Conference USA's Player of the Year, who ranked 92nd among the individual rankings. Future C-USA member TCU ranked 21st. |
