Two SMU women's golfers qualified for the 2005 U.S Women's Amateur Golf Championships on Wednesday. The Mustang representatives include juniors Jennifer Ackerson and Kristina Rothengatter. The U.S. Women's Amateur Championship is set to take place Aug. 1-7 at the Ansley Golf Club (Settindown Creek Course) in Roswell, Ga.

Ackerson shot a round of 74 while Rothengatter shot a score of 73 Wednesday at the Old Orchards Golf Club in Richmond, Texas, to earn spots in the U.S. Women's Amateur Golf Championship.
