No. 65 UAB Falls to No. 27 Auburn 5-2

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The 65th-ranked UAB men’s tennis team fell to 27th-ranked Auburn 5-2 at the Lakeshore Tennis Facility Wednesday afternoon.

UAB falls to 3-6 on the season, while Auburn improved to 4-0 with the victory.

Junior Alex Jung of UAB won the lone singles match for the Blazers defeating Mark Kovacs 6-3, 6-3 at no. 3 singles.

Doubles matches were not played.

The Blazers return to action Mar. 10, against the 44th-ranked South Florida Bulls in the 2001 C-USA opener in Tampa, Fla. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m.
