Ted Angelinos of Tulane led the Green Wave to the championship of the 55th Annual Blue-Gray Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala. No. 25 Tulane defeated four ranked teams in four days to win the title for the first time in 10 trips to the event. Angelinos posted a 3-0 singles record and a 3-1 doubles mark. In the first round, he notched the clinching victory at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1, in a win over No. 63 Brown. He also earned straight-set singles wins at No. 4 against No. 27 Rice and No. 55 Boise State. Teaming up with junior Jacobo Hernandez at No. 2 doubles, the sophomore recorded key wins against Brown, Rice and No. 44 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the finals. On the season, Angelinos has compiled a 9-3 singles record and a 13-2 doubles mark. Currently enjoying a seven-match winning streak, the 13-3 Green Wave host future conference-rival, No. 55 Tulsa, Saturday, March 19 at home.
