UAB Women's Tennis Continue Winning Streak

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The 64th-ranked UAB women’s tennis team continued their winning streak, beating Arkansas-Little Rock 5-1 Friday afternoon in Little Rock, improving their record to 13-0.

The Blazers started the match with singles, winning at five of six spots to come away with the victory. Twenty-sixth-ranked Mirela Vladulescu of UAB defeated Kelly Bucewicz 6-4, 6-1 at no. 1 singles. UAB also received straight-set wins from Monika Schmid, Margaux Melsheimer and Femke deBoer. Sophomore Natascha Immele defeated Cecelia Poveda 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 at no. 4 singles.
