Antelo, Monhartova Receive Player of the Week Honor
Men's Player of the Week
Antelo, the Bulls' No. 1 singles player, posted a 3-0 record last week at No. 1 singles. He defeated ninth-ranked Alex Hartman of Ole Miss 7-6, 6-3 and 43-ranked Jeremy Wurtzman of Florida, 6-3, 6-2. Antelo is now 11-2 overall and has won his last eight matches. South Florida (11-3) are ranked 35th in the most recent ITA national poll.
Women's Player of the Week
Monhartova was 3-0 in singles matches last week and 1-0 in doubles action. She clinched Tulane's upset victory over No. 34 Tulsa with a three-set victory over Bianca Posada 6-1, 6-7, 7-6 at No. 1 singles. Monhartova teamed up with Anneli Axsater at No. 3 doubles and defeated Tulsa's Marianna Barrios and Zoe Buhagiar, 9-8. She is now on a five-match winning streak.
