Mark Finnegan of Memphis compiled a 4-0 record over the weekend, leading the Tigers to two victories, including a 4-3 win over No. 32 South Alabama and a 6-1 decision over C-USA rival Southern Miss. Finnegan opened the weekend with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles against South Alabama. The senior followed that with a 7-5, 6-1 victory at the No. 5 spot against USM’s Reid Bourgeois. In doubles, Finnegan and doubles partner Alex Jago went 2-0 at No. 3 doubles, winning 8-6 over Southern Miss and 8-2 against USA. Finnegan improved to 6-8 on the season in singles and 11-4 in doubles. The Tigers are currently 8-9 overall and ranked 66th in the first ITA computer ranking of the season.
