Mirela Vladulescu (Senior Leimen, Germany)- UAB
Vladulescu posted two wins at No. 1 singles and doubles positions over the weekend, improving UAB's record to 16-0 overall. Vladulescu, ranked 30th nationally, defeated Michelle Neveklovska of Syracuse 7-6, 6-1 and Gailor Large of Princeton 6-4, 6-0. She improved her record to 16-0 in dual match play and 25-1 overall. With partner Monika Schmid, ranked 40th nationally, they defeated Neveklovska and Zuzanna Borucka of Syracuse 8-3. The duo improved their dual match record to 11-2 and overall record to 19-3.

Joachim Lien, (Sophomore, Olso, Norway)- Louisville
Lien defeated Steve Pillion of Western Michigan 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 playing at No. 2 singles over the weekend. The singles win extended his winning streak to seven and improved his dual match record to 16-3. Lien teamed up with Tvrtko Kujundzic at No. 1 doubles and defeated the Broncos' Ryan Tomlinson and Ryan Maarschalk 8-6 to extend their doubles winning streak to six. He aided in the 4-3 win over Western Michigan by adding a singles point and helping win the doubles point as well.
