Alex Bucewicz clinched a 4-3 Tiger victory with a thrilling third set tiebreaker (13-11) at No. 2 singles over Georgia State’s Martin Stiegwardt on March 27. Bucewicz won the first set 6-4, dropped the second set, 6-3, then came back to win the third 7-6 (13-11). The win was the fourth singles victory for the Tigers on the day, as Georgia State (11-5) won the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead in the contest. All four Tiger victories came from the seniors. Memphis is now No. 66 in the country and holds a 9-9 overall record on the season. The Tigers also extended a season-best four-match winning streak to head into a Wednesday contest against Southeast Louisiana.
