USM Women's Tennis Downs Southeastern La.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women’s tennis team posted their third win of the season, defeating Southeastern Louisiana, 5-1, at the Hattiesburg Country Club.

The Golden Eagles won the doubles competition to win the doubles' point. Southern Miss posted wins No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 singles. Shawny Price clinched the match, defeating Yessica Rizelia in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6 (4). Jennifer Sibille won at No. 2, defeating Justine Vosloo, in three sets, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. Sara Anne Harrison defeated Lisa McLeod in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1 and Jessica Olson defeated Cadence Ellington in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.

Olivia Berry lost in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, to Carina Hultqurst.

Southern Miss returns to action, April 4, when the Lady Eagles travel to New Orleans.
