    Women -
    Julie Morris, Tulane
    Junior, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
    Tulane's JULIE MORRIS is the Conference USA Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the period ending March 31. She posted Tulane's only victories in singles play with a pair of wins at No. 2 singles. Morris recorded a 6-4, 7-6 win over South Alabama's Nienke Scheltens on Friday. South Alabama is ranked No. 31. The Ft. Lauderdale native followed that with an upset of No. 48 Martina Nedelkova of No. 9 VCU, 6-1, 7-6. Morris also teamed with ANA SAAIBI to post a win at No. 2 doubles against VCU (8-6).

    Men -
    Michael Chamberlain, Memphis

    Memphis' MICHAEL CHAMBERLAIN is the Conference USA Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the period ending March 31. Chamberlain was 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles in leading Memphis to the championship of the 23rd Annual UC-Irvine Anteater Classic in Irvine, Calif. Chamberlain defeated Jason Tan of Denver (6-3,7-5), Alfredo Baretto of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (6-4, 6-3) and Nic Carteret of Southern Miss (6-4, 6-1). In doubles, Chamberlain teamed with Joe Schmulian to defeat Young/Patel of Denver (9-8), Bergues/Opreo of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (8-6) and Jansson/Canudas of Southern Miss (8-5). On the season, Chamberlain is now 14-3 in singles and has won six in a row. In doubles, Chamberlain and Schmulian are now 12-1 and have won 10 consecutive matches.
