C-USA Men's Tennis Player of the Week - April 5

Jakob Gustaffson of Louisville compiled two wins in singles and three victories at No. 1 doubles as the No. 27 Cardinals went 3-0 over the weekend. Gustafsson defeated Juan Mas from IUPUI, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 2 singles as U of L went on to earn a 7-0 team victory. In a 6-1 win over Morehead State, Gustafsson beat Peter Taylor, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. In doubles action, Gustafsson and Jeremy Clark are currently ranked No. 34 on the ITA list. The duo notched three wins at the No. 1 spot over IUPUI, Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky. Louisville’s win over Eastern Kentucky extended its home-match winning streak to 40. The 18-8 Cards travel to No. 62 Ball State on April 6.
