UC Tennis Sweeps Wright State and Valparaiso

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Cincinnati tennis team swept matches with Wright State and Valparaiso on Saturday at Sawyer Point. The wins increase UC's winning streak to four matches and improve its record to 10-11. Wright State falls to 10-6 and Valparaiso drops to 4-9.

The three Bearcat doubles tandems of Khushchehr Italia and Lyndsey Molony, Jen Capuzzi and Leen Corneillie and Samantha Liu and Julie Klauck got UC off to good starts by winning all six of their matches. They dropped more than four games in only one of the matches.

UC got two singles wins each from Italia, Capuzzi, Molony, Corneillie and Liu and wins from Cristina Reyes and Klauck. Molony only lost one game in her two wins and the Bearcats lost only one set in the 12 matches.

UC closes its regular season on April 10 at Indiana State. The Conference USA Championships begin April 17 in Fort Worth, Texas.
