Charlotte Men's Tennis Blanks Campbell

BUIES CREEK, NC - The Charlotte 49ers men's tennis blanked in-state foe Campbell, 7-0, on the road to conclude the regular season. Charlotte enters the Conference USA Tournament having won four of their last five matches. The Tournament will be in Louisville, Kentucky, April 18-21.

Charlotte won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. In number one doubles, Charlotte's Jacob Nordwall and Joakim Peterson defeated Campbell's Mardbrink and Ljumic, 8-4. In number two doubles, Charlotte's Ola Jonsson and Jonathan McGovern defeated Campbell's Toltsan and Parkes, 9-7. In number three doubles, Charlotte's Marlo Santoso and David Bolin defeated Campbell's Beranek and Legoff, 8-5.

Charlotte won all six singles matches. The 49ers won four of those matches in straight sets. In number one singles, Charlotte's Jonsson defeated Campbell's Mardbrink, 6-2, 6-1. This was Jonsson's 82nd career singles win which tied Sasha Parc's school career singles wins record. In number two singles, Charlotte's Nordwall defeated Campbell's Ljumic, 1-6, 6-2, 6-1. In number three singles, Charlotte's Peterson defeated Campbell's Beranek, 6-2, 6-1. In number four singles, Charlotte's Santoso defeated Campbell's Toltsan, 7-6, 6-2. In number five singles, Charlotte's Jonathan Clark defeated Campbell's Parkes, 7-6, 6-7, 7-6. In number six singles, Charlotte's Bolin defeated Campbell's Legoff, 6-4, 6-3.
