Mustangs Fall In First Round Of NCAA Singles Championship
May 24, 2006 STANFORD, Calif. (SMU/NCAA) - Both Mustangs fell today in the first round of NCAA Singles Championship at Stanford University. No. 55 Alex Skrypko was unable to overcome the tough competition of No. 3 Luigi D'Agord of Miami today as Skrypko fell in straight sets during the. No. 58 Peter Oredsson fell to No. 22 Erling Tveit from Mississippi in a straight two set decision. Oredsson concludes his senior campaign with a 17-15 this season at the top of the line-up for the Mustangs. After working his way to the top of the line-up, Skrypko posted a sophomore record of 21-6. Both players were honored with C-USA First-Team honors and Skrypko was named C-USA Player of the Week during the season.
