C-USA Women's Championship Postponed Unitl Saturday

TAMPA, FL -- With on and off rain all day, the quarterfinals and consolation bracket of the Conference USA Women's Tennis Championships have been postponed until Saturday.

The quarterfinals will resume at 9 a.m. Saturday with three matches of each team match being played simultaneously at the USF Varsity Tennis Complex. Once all that is complete, a one-hour break will precede the semifinal matches. The championship match is scheduled for Sunday at Noon.

Meanwhile, the consolation bracket will get underway Saturday at 11 a.m. at the USF Residence Hall Courts.

When the quarterfinals resume, USF vs. Southern Mississippi and Tulane vs. DePaul will pick up where they left off today. USF leads Southern Miss by one set in number one and three singles, and the Bulls also lead 4-1 at number four singles. Southern Miss is up 2-1 at number two singles.

In the DePaul-Tulane match, neither team has taken a set yet. In the other two quarterfinal matches - which have yet to begin - Houston will play UAB and Marquette will play Memphis.
