IRVING, Texas - Conference USA has named Memphis' Aaron Whetstone as Indoor Male Athlete of the Week, while Ashley May of Southern Miss and UAB's Genoah Collins shares this week's Indoor Female Athlete of the Week accolades.

Whetstone recorded a career-best of 7.12 meters (23-04.50) in the long jump, while Collins placed first in the 800-meter dash with a C-USA-best time of 2:11.81. May recorded an NCAA Provisional Qualifying and C-USA-best mark of 6.24 meters (20-05.75) in the long jump for top honors.

Long & Triple Jumps
Whetstone leaped to a career-best 7.12 meters (23-04.50) in the long jump for second place at the Saluki Booster. He improved his mark from the first meet by .27 meters, almost a foot. He later went on to place fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.94 meters (45-09). The freshman sits in the No. 4 spot in C-USA in both events.

Long & Triple Jumps
May recorded an NCAA Provisional Qualifying and C-USA-best mark of 6.24 meters (20-05.75) in the long jump to take top honors at the LSU Purple Tiger Indoor Classic in Baton Rouge, La. Her winning and personal-best mark bettered the second-place finisher by six inches. She also finished fifth in the triple jump with a personal best mark of 12.17 meters (39-11.25), which currently ranks third best in the league.

GENOAH COLLINS, UAB

800m, DMR, 4x400 Relay
Collins placed first in the 800-meter dash, with a C-USA-best time of 2:11.81. Collins was also instrumental in the Blazers first-place finish in the distance medley relay, which improved upon it's conference best mark of 11:53.31. She also ran the second leg of the 4x400-meter relay that was runner-up with a time of 3:46.49, a mark that ranks No. 2 on the C-USA Top Performance Charts.
