BATON ROUGE, La. - The Tulane women's track team had its first full meet since Hurricane Katrina on Friday evening, with 14 individuals competing at the Bayou Bengal Invitational at LSU's Maddox Field House. Tulane had three individuals with top four finishes as well as one relay team.

Sophomore Aubrey Phillips posted a third-place finish with a time of 5:16.81 in the mile run while freshman Whitney Hampton was clocked at 2:19.36 in the 800-meter run for a third-place finish of her own. Freshman Valencia Wilson added a fourth-place effort with a time of 58.17 in the 400-meter dash.

The Green Wave will be back in action February 3-4 at the Armory Invitational in New York City.
