Tulsa's Women's Cross Country Team earns Conference USA Sport Academic Award
July 19, 2007 Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's Women's cross country team received a Sport Academic Award announced today by Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky. The team posted a grade point average of 3.590, second best in the league. The Sport Academic Award is given to the team in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest GPA for the current academic year. The Women's team also had individual success this year. Sophomore Alex Becker and senior Lise Olivier were named to First Team All-C-USA at the Conference Championships. Sophomore Dawn Nagazina was also named to the C-USA All-Academic Team in addition to earning Third-Team All-C-USA honors.
