Stephanie Gammon of UAB and Japheth Ng'ojoy of UTEP have been named Athletes of the Week after their outstanding performances at the Belmont Opener and the New Mexico Invitational.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
STEPHANIE GAMMON, UAB

Sophomore Stephanie Gammon led the Blazers at the 4K Belmont Opener setting a personal-best time of 14:41.55 and giving the Blazers a third-place finish among the 12 team field. Her previous best at the event was 15:02.49 set in 2007.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JAPHETH NG'OJOY, UTEP
Sr., Kapsabet, Kenya (Kaptumpo Boys)

Senior Japheth Ng'ojoy finished third for the Miners at the New Mexico Lobo Invitational last weekend. Leading the Miners in a non-scoring competition, Ng'ojoy clocked in on the 8K run with a time of 24:57.89.
