Marquette Women's Cross Country Team Ranked No. 14 in Nation

Milwaukee-- The Marquette women's cross country team is ranked 14th in the FinishLynx NCAA Division 1 National Poll for the second week in a row.

This ranking is the highest-ever for a Marquette cross country team. Coming off of a bye weekend, the squad is gearing up for its meet this Saturday at the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minn.

The team captured the first-place award at the Bradley Invite, (Sept. 13) where the top-three spots were claimed by Golden Eagles and the team posted five runners in the top-ten out of a field of over 200 runners.

Senior runner Susan Barth (Bluffton, Ind.) has been named Conference USA Athlete of the Week twice this season, the first time she was honored along with teammate Jessie Swan (West Allis, Wis.) for their first-place finish at the Purdue Open (Sept. 7). Barth received the honor for the second week when she set the course record at the Bradley Invite with her time of 17:17.

Brigham Young is ranked first in the poll with Georgetown and Stanford rounding out the top-three spots. Complete results are as follows:
