Marquette Men's Cross Country Takes Third at Central Collegiate Conference Meet
Milwaukee-- The Marquette men's cross country team held its own tonight at the Central Collegiate Conference race in Ypsilanti, Mich. The squad, which is ranked 9th in the Great Lakes Region, finished third out of 11 teams with 74 points-- one point behind Western Michigan, which finished second with 73 points. Michigan finished first with 22 points.
Five Golden Eagles placed in the top 20 of a field of 70 runners. Dave Lance (25:47) finished 9th, Brent Des Roches (25:55) finished 12th, Bo Erickson (26:11) came in 16th, Jake Remitz (26:15) claimed 17th and Jason Crichton (26:17) held down the 20th spot. David Henderson (26:48) placed 31st and Sal Graziano (27:06) came in with 39th place.
The men will compete in the Murray Keatinge Invitational meet next weekend (Oct. 5), in Orono ME.
