C-USA Cross Country Notebook

Sophomore Edwin Kipkorir of Memphis picks up his first Athlete of the Week honor while Stephanie Aldea of Houston makes a repeat appearance after being honored after the first week of competition.

STEPHANIE ALDEA, HOUSTON
Fr., Windsor, Ontario, Canada
Aldea captured first-place honors with a time of 21:21 at the 6K LSU Tiger Festival in Baton Rouge, La., Saturday. This was the freshman's third-straight meet to finish in the top three, with the Cougars winning each of these meets. This is Aldea's second Athlete of the Week honor this season.

Kipkorir receivges his first Athlete of the Week honor after setting a personal-best record of 25:54.55 in the 8K at the Arkansas-Little Rock Invitational, Saturday. The sophomore placed sixth in the event.
