    C-USA ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
    Women ? Kristy Fuller, South Florida

    Fuller finished seventh out of 241 runners at the Auburn Invitational on Saturday. She ran the 5,000-meter event in a time of 17:04.47. Fuller led the Bulls to a seventh-place finish in the team standings, five points ahead of Tennessee.

    Men ? Solomon Kandie, Tulane

    For the third week in a row, Kandie led the Green Wave in their weekend meet, where they finished sixth out of 31 teams at the Auburn Invitational. Individually, the senior placed fourth out of 253 competitors with a time of 24:38.50. This season, Kandie has earned three top-four finishes, including two individual medalist honors.

    Women
    Charlotte finished 17th out of 32 teams at the Auburn Invitational. CASSIE FICKEN led the way in 43rd place with a time of 17:51.43, while LAURA SYRACUSE (18:32.22) finished 82nd... DePaul sophomore ERIN MOFFETT (18:24) led the Blue Demons with a ninth-place finish at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on Sept. 29. It was the third straight meet that Moffett has led DePaul and the second time in three weeks that she has finished in the top 10. DePaul, who finished fifth in the team standings, will next compete at the UW-Parkside Invitational on Oct. 13 ... JOHANNA ALLEN earned first-place honors to lead East Carolina to a third-place showing in the team standings. Allen finished the 5,000-meter race with a time of 18:09 and remains undefeated this season. KAY LIVICK (19:03) took fifth place and KELLI LITTEN (19:30) finished 16th .The Pirates return to action on Oct. 6, when they host the Overton-Pirate Invitational ... Houston finished third out of four teams at the Texas Collegiate Invitational on Sept. 28. MONICA REYNA placed third and finished the 5,000-meter course in a time of 19:22.32, while teammate JULIE PEREZ (19:27.07) earned 12th place. The Cougars will next compete at Lehigh on Oct. 6 ... the 16th-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles finished ninth out 32 teams at the University of Minnesota?s Roy Griak Invtational. BRIANNA DAHM paced the Golden Eagles, finishing 20th overall with a time of 21:27.2. SUSAN BARTH (21:48.9) and BETHANY HARRY (22:09.5) captured 32nd and 62nd, respectively ... Memphis finished first out of four teams in the Arkansas State/Pepsi Cross Country Invitational last weekend. WENDY RAGLE recorded her third top three finish in four events this season, taking second with a time of 20:44. LILLY LEBRON also posted a strong performance, placing fourth in a time of 21:25 ... Saint Louis finished fourth out of six teams at the Cross Country Nationals. SARAH MOBERG led the Billikens, posting a 16th-place finish with a time of 24:36.7 ... Tulane placed 12th at the Tulane Invitational last weekend. Sophomore EVA LUSTIGOVA earned a ninth-place finish in the 241-runner field with a time of 17:09.45. KATRINA GEMMELL (17:28.37) and LYNDIE GALKA (18:51.68) finished 19th and 98th, respectively ... UAB finished 28th at the Auburn Invitational on Sept. 29. CARLA KELLY notched a time of 19:53.40 to finish 147th. The Blazers will next compete at the Pre-District 9 Invitational on Oct. 6 in Birmingham, Ala.

    Kenneth Svenden led Charlotte to an eighth-place finish out of 31 teams at the Auburn Invitational. Svenden finished seventh in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 24:44.42, ranking seventh in the 49ers? record book. VINCE SHERRY followed in 14th place (25:00.53) ... DePaul finished fifth out of 38 teams at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational in Chicago. CHRIS BIRCHALL placed third in a field of 349 competitors, marking the third consecutive week he has finished first for the Blue Demons. LARRY VONCKX followed in 13th place with a time of 25:32. ... East Carolina placed third out of seven teams at the Colonial Invitational. KYLE MACKENZIE was the Pirates? top finisher, earning an eight-place showing in a time of 26:05. The Pirates host the Overton-Pirate Invitational on Oct. 6 ... Marquette finished 28th out of 36 teams in the Roy Griak Invitational. JOE HERINGTON placed 72nd with a time of 25:10 ... Memphis captured 21st place at the Iona Meet of Champions in New Rochelle, N.Y. LASZLO BALAZS claimed 54th place, covering the 8,000-meter race in a time of 26:05.9 ... Saint Louis finished fourth out of eight teams at the Cross Country Nationals. JOE PORTER finished 14th with a time of 27:26.3 and PETE MOSHER (27:45) captured 20th place... Tulane earned sixth place out of 31 teams at the Auburn Invitational. SOLOMON KANDIE (24:38.50) led the Green Wave, posting a fourth-place finish out of 253 runners. Following Kandie with strong finishes were ANTHONY LAGAT (25:15.29) and ERIK EMILSSON (25:18.86), placing 19th and 21st, respectively.
