IRVING, Texas - For the second consecutive week, Rice's Marissa Daniels has been named Conference USA female cross country runner of the week, while Tulsa's Edwin Henshaw earns male athlete of the week accolades. Henshaw clocked an 8K time of 24:10 at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree for a fourth place team finish. Daniels led the Owls to a stunning victory at the 52nd Notre Dame Invitational, beating out eight ranked teams.

Edwin Henshaw, Tulsa
Junior, Auckland, New Zealand
Henshaw finished fourth in an 8K time of 24:10, just five seconds off his personal best at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla., Saturday. Tulsa finished fourth out of a field of 17 teams that included No. 5 Arkansas, No. 8 Oklahoma State and defending Division II National Champions, Abilene Christian.

This is Tulsa's second male Athlete of the Week honor this season and Henshaw's second of his career.

Marissa Daniels, Rice
Senior, Pearland, Texas
For the second consecutive week, Daniels is Conference USA female cross country runner of the week. Daniels ran the best race of her career to lead the Owls to a stunning victory at the 52nd Notre Dame Invitational last weekend. She finished the race seventh overall, completing the course in 16:59. The Owls placed five in the top 40 to score 118 points, 21 ahead of second-place Illinois, ranked seventh nationally. All told, Rice beat eight ranked teams, including No. 2 Michigan, and conference foes SMU and UAB.
