MARQUETTE WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY RANKED NO. 21
CHICAGO – Following an eighth-place finish at the Pre-NCAA Invitational on Saturday, the Marquette women’s cross country team moved up five spots in the FinishLynx/NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country poll to No. 21, their highest ranking of the season.
Sophomore Jodi Jakubek led Marquette at the Pre-NCAA Invitational with a 13th-place finish at the meet. It was the third meet of the season in which she was the top Golden Eagle finisher.
Marquette will run next at the Conference USA Championships on Nov. 1 in Tampa, Fla. The Golden Eagles are the three-time defending C-USA Champions.
