Tulsa's Men's Cross Country Team Receives an At-Large Selection

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's men's cross country team was one of 13 teams to receive an at-large selection to the NCAA Championships. Junior Alex Becker also qualified by being one of 38 women's individual automatic qualifiers. The men's team's was the first team to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships in school history. The 2007 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Indiana State University, November 19, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course located at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind. The men's race will begin at noon (ET) followed by the women's race at 12:55 p.m. Both championship races will be broadcast live on CSTV. TU earlier this season ran at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course. The men's team finished in sixth in the blue race, while Becker finished 7th overall in the women's blue race at Pre-Nationals.
