Tulane Wrapped up 2002 season at NCAA South Central Championships

The Tulane University cross country team wrapped up its
2002 season with the male individuals running at the NCAA South Central
Championships at Baylor University on Saturday morning.

Seniors Adam Leskis (Spokane, Wash.) and Mark Williams (Austin, Texas)
and junior Ryan Gallagher (New Orleans, La.) competed for the Green
Wave.

Gallagher was the top Tulane finisher, covering the 10-kilometer course
in 34:10, to finish 100th of 141 runners. Williams followed with a time
of 34:27, while Leskis was third, posting a time of 35 minutes flat.

The men’s race was won by Arkansas with 47 points, while SMU was second
with 49. Arkansas also took the women’s regional title with just 29
points, while Texas was second with 74 points. The top two teams advance
to the NCAA Championships.
