IRVING, Texas - Three Conference USA student-athletes competed in today's NCAA Cross Country Championship, hosted at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course located at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind.

For the men, UTEP's Stephen Samoei finished 13th out of 250 runners with a time of 31:15.5. Samoei, a native of Eldoret, Kenya, had 5K and 8K split times of 15:19 and 24:48, respectively.

Tulsa's Alex Becker placed 34th, followed closely by Arlington, Texas native and SMU's Rachael Forish who placed 35th out of 253 participants. Becker, a sophomore from Guelph, Ontario, Canada, ran the 6K course in a time of 21:24.0 but had a 3K split of 10:17.

The 2006 C-USA and South Central Region individual champion, Forish posted a time of 21.24.5 in the 6K race with a 3K split of 10:24.

The team titles went to Colorado men and Stanford women. Complete results can be found at www.indstate.edu/athletics.
