May 2, 2008

Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today that Entergy Corporation has entered into an agreement to be the title sponsor for the league's 2008 baseball championship in New Orleans, May 21-25.

"We are pleased that Entergy will be the title sponsor of this year's baseball championship game," said Banowsky. "This will be an outstanding event, only enhanced by the sponsorship of such a high-profile company that serves a large number of fans that will be in attendance at the championship."

With the agreement, the event will be referred to as The 2008 Entergy Conference USA Baseball Championship. As title sponsor, Entergy will receive pre and in-game promotions, be included in all media mentions regarding the championship and receive in-stadium event signage, among other promotional considerations.

The double-elimination tournament features eight teams from one of America's top college baseball conferences. The games will be played at the brand new Greer Field at Turchin Stadium on the campus of Tulane University.

Entergy Corporation is an integrated energy company engaged primarily in electric power production and retail distribution operations. Entergy owns and operates power plants with approximately 30,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity, and it is the second-largest nuclear generator in the United States.

Entergy delivers electricity to 2.7 million utility customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Entergy has annual revenues of more than $11 billion and approximately 14,300 employees.
