Southern Miss was the only team to sweep its weekend series, putting the Golden Eagles one game ahead of TCU, which took two-of-three at Charlotte. Tulane and Houston both dropped two-of-three on the road, falling to Louisville and Memphis, respectively.

Six of the eight spots in the 2003 Conference USA Tournament at Turchin Stadium in New Orleans have now been claimed. Southern Miss, TCU, Tulane, Houston, East Carolina and Louisville have all clinched berths. Saint Louis and Cincinnati have been eliminated, meaning that South Florida, Charlotte, Memphis and UAB are all racing for two spots.
