CHRIS MOORE, TULANE
Senior, G/F, McKinney, Texas

Senior Chris Moore led Tulane to a 2-0 Conference USA record last week as the Green Wave earned a No. 4 seed and a first-round bye in the 2007 Conference USA Championship. For the week, Moore averaged 21 points, hitting an average of three 3-pointers per game, and 4.5 rebounds per game. hHe shot 50 percent or better from the field in each game (13-24), and knocked down 91 percent of his free throw attempts (10-11).

In his final home game as a Green Wave player, Moore equaled his career-high with 22 points and led Tulane to an 88-72 victory over East Carolina. He shot 60 percent from the field (6-10), canned four treys on the night and was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line. Moore scored eight points during a 19-4 run in the first half that kept the Wave in double figures for the remainder of the game.

In the regular season finale at UAB, Moore led all scorers with 20 points and he added five rebounds in a key 76-74 victory over the Blazers on the road. Once again, he was solid from the field, as he hit 7-of-14 field goal attempts for 50 percent, drained two 3-pointers, and connected on 4-of-5 free throw attempts. He led TU in scoring in each period, scoring nine in the first half and 11 points in the second half. The victory was Tulane's first in Birmingham since 2003.

The victory gave Tulane the most conference wins in nine years with nine and its most overall wins in four years (16). The Green Wave also earned a bye for the first time since 2000. This is Moore's second Player of the Week honor this season as he also won the award on Feb. 19.
