DePaul Men's Basketball Signs Marlon Brumfield

CHICAGO -- Chicago Collins standout Marlon Brumfield has signed a National Letter of Intent and will be a member of the Blue Demon basketball program next fall it was announced today by new head coach Dave Leitao.

"We are very pleased to have Marlon joining our program," Leitao said. "Marlon will bring size and athleticism to our front line along with providing much needed depth."

Brumfield is a 6-9, 220-pound power forward who averaged 18 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks a game for a team that finished 22-2. Brumfield was named one of the top 25 players in the state of Illinois by hoopconnect.com and one of the top 30 by highschoolelite.com. He was an honorable mention All-State honoree after his senior season as well as earning All-Public League accolades.
