Four Mustangs Will Play In The Global Games
July 5, 2007 DALLAS (SMU) --- The SMU men's basketball team will have four representatives when the Global Games get underway at Moody Coliseum on Thursday. Junior center Bamba Fall, a Conference USA all-defensive team selection, and incoming freshman Papa Dia will play for team Africa. Newcomers Alex Malone and Robert Nyakundi will represent SMU as members of Global Games All-Americans. Team Africa is in Pool A with Puerto Rico and Team USA. Africa begins play against Puerto Rico at 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon followed by an 8 p.m. meeting with Team USA. Global Games All-Americans are in Pool B with Argentina and CJT. The Global Games All-Americans begin play with an exhibition against Senegal at 6 p.m. on Thursday followed by two games on Friday; facing CJT at 2 p.m. and Argentina at 8 p.m. The teams will play in the medal rounds on Saturday.
