MEMPHIS, TENN. -
The Athletic Media Relations and Tiger Video departments will be teaming up for a live internet webcast for five straight hours on Signing Day that will be available for free on GoTigersGo.com through Memphis Tiger Vision.
The show will run from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. CT, on Wednesday, Feb. 1, which is National Signing Day. It will be hosted by Jeff Brightwell, the "voice" of the women's basketball and Tiger baseball radio broadcasts. Brightwell will conduct interviews throughout the day with coaches from many of the 19 athletic programs at the University of Memphis. Other featured guests will be Athletic Director R.C. Johnson and Bill Lansden, the associate athletic director for development.
Fans will also have a chance to get to know the new Tiger football assistant coaches as Brightwell will have assistants on throughout the show to discuss some of the players who will have signed with the Tigers at that point in the day, and will talk to the assistants about what brought them to Memphis and provide some background information.
In addition to live interviews, video feature stories that have run throughout the year will also be played for fans who may have missed them earlier in the year.
The show will end at approximately 2 p.m., to allow for preparation and set up to begin for Coach Justin Fuente's official Signing Day press conference, which will be carried live at 3 p.m. CT.
Both events will be available for viewing on Memphis Tiger Vision for free. The full schedule of guests will be posted by Tuesday.
