Houston senior QB Kevin Kolb earned his second Offensive Player of the Week award of the season, while teammate Justin Laird gained the Special Teams honor. Tulsa's Moton Hopkins gained the Defensive nod after helping preserve the Golden Hurricane's overtime win at Navy.

OFFENSE
Kevin Kolb QB Houston

Kolb earns his second C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honor this season after leading the Cougars to a 34-25 win over Oklahoma State to improve Houston's record to 4-0. He completed 21-of-28 passes for 313 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. Kolb also rushed 11 times for 42 yards. He completed passes to nine different receivers.

DEFENSE
Moton Hopkins DE Tulsa

Hopkins was second on the team in tackles with seven stops, including four solos, but had perhaps the biggest defensive play in the game when he blocked the potential game-tying PAT in overtime to preserve a 24-23 victory over Navy. Nick Graham dove from the kickers' left side and nicked the ball, but it was Hopkins making sure the ball did not make it through the uprights as he put a hand on the ball.

SPECIAL TEAMS
Justin Laird P Houston

Laird's only two punts came in a driving rainstorm late in the fourth quarter of UH's win over Oklahoma State. He averaged 46 yards on the two kicks, including a 49-yard boot on his final one, which UH forced a fumble on to seal the victory.
