The Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl celebrates its 10th Year Anniversary with this year's game on Christmas Eve....This year will mark the eighth time that C-USA will be a part of the game...In its first nine years, the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl has gained a reputation for offensive shootouts, with the winning team topping the 40-point mark in each of the last eight years, while the losing team has scored 35 or more points five times...Last year, Tulsa closed out its season with a seventh straight victory, defeating home-standing and 25th-ranked Hawai'i, 62-35...In 2009, June Jones and his SMU Mustangs capped off the nation's largest turnaround by defeating Nevada, 45-10...East Carolina won the 2007 game, as current Tennessee Titans star RB Chris Johnson led the Pirates to a 41-38 win over No. 22 Boise State ...UCF and UAB each made their first bowl appearances in school history in the Hawaii Bowl. UCF fell to Nevada, 49-48, in 2005 and UAB battled home-standing Hawai'i in 2004, falling 59-40...In 2003, Hawai'i prevailed, 54-48, in triple overtime over Houston...In 2002, Tulane represented C-USA in the inaugural Hawai'i Bowl, upsetting Hawai'i on its home field, 36-28.
