BOWL NOTES
Conference USA participated in the inaugural St. Petersburg Bowl last December, as Memphis faced Big East Conference member South Florida in the game. This season, the C-USA representative will once again play an opponent from the Big East Conference at Tropicana Field in downtown St. Petersburg. The 2009 St. Petersburg Bowl will be played on Saturday, December 19 and will be televised in prime-time by ESPN, beginning at 8 p.m. EST. Last year marked the first time that C-USA has been a part of a bowl game in Florida. The St. Petersburg Bowl is one of six postseason games that take place in the Sunshine State. The bowl is owned and operated by ESPN.
