IRVING, Texas - Greg Forest and Mike Stern of UCF share this week's Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week after carrying the Knights to the UCF Rio Pinar Intercollegiate title, sharing co-medalist honors at the event. Forest and Stern both finished at 205 (-11) at the three-round event. The tournament victory was the first for the Knights since they won the same event in 2005. Tulsa's Kelly Fuchik and Woori Shin are the Women's Golfers of the Week after tying for sixth place with identical scores of 147 en route to helping the Golden Hurricane win the Kitahara Fresno State Invitational.

Forest and Stern carried the Knights to the UCF Rio Pinar Intercollegiate title, sharing co-medalist honors at the event. Forest and Stern both finished at 205 (-11) at the three-round event. The tournament victory was the first for the Knights since they won the same event in 2005. In the second round, both players equaled the UCF 18-hole record with respective scores of eight-under 64. The event featured four squads ranked in the top 40 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings. Stern closed the event by carding a two-under 69 in the final round, while Forest posted a one-under 71. The tournament victory was the first for both players. Prior to the event, no Knight had taken medalist honors at a tournament since 2005. This is Forest's third career weekly honor and the first for Stern.

WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK (2/27)

At the Kitahara Fresno State Invitational, Fuchik and Shin each carded rounds of 74-73 for a three-over par score of 147 to finish in a tie for sixth-place to guide the Hurricane to a first-place finish. The 31st-ranked Golden Hurricane shot a two-over par 290 in today's second round, after turning in a second-best mark of 299 in yesterday's first round. This was the first women's tournament title for TU since winning the WAC Championship in 2005. The C-USA weekly honors are the first for both Fuchik and Shin.
